The valuable collection of the L.D. McArdle books purchased by the Daughters of the Pioneers in 1939 is in the DPW Reference Library in Pioneer Hall, Seattle, WA., and is available to the public for research. To these have been added biographies, fiction, folklore, Indian customs, histories and legends.
